Though we are known for being The Country’s Youngest Shakespeare Troupe, our goal of bringing Shakespeare and the arts to our under-served or forgotten communities is dearest to our hearts. In fulfilling the mission of our non-profit (501c3) organization, we are delighted to launch two new programs this year, (joining the Shakespeare Youth Festival, LA and The Asylum)
Shakespeare in the City will reach under-served communities of children. Together, with our resources and yours, we will bring kids off the streets, and into a theater, thereby opening a world of potential and possibilities.
The Willful Minors will bring our young volunteer players to venues all over L.A. to perform Shakespeare.
Here’s where you come in
We need your help. We are actively building a Volunteer Corps to assist us in our development – watch this space, as we will be posting a “Wish List” very soon. Your skills and talents may be just what the Los Angeles Drama Club needs to grow and thrive.
In addition, we are seeking funding. Your donation can help us:
- create the sets and costumes that support the wonderful work our Players bring to the stage.
- compensate our support staff for the time, energy and love they pour into the productions.
- bring the Los Angeles Drama Club to a wider audience through our Outreach programs, Shakespeare in the City, and The Willful Minors.
We thank you so much for supporting us, and invite you to become more involved in our next chapter …
